FishyFishy! 11-07-2012 06:08 PM

we just had a good ol' chinook blast through here and melted most of the snow

Buuutt... we're in for it in the next couple of days me thinks.

Flash 11-07-2012 06:11 PM

17" of snow in edmonton???? where do you live.... as of last night it had all melted and there was maybe 1-2" before that... now today is a different story...we'll have 6-10" today! still no 17"

Aysha 11-07-2012 06:18 PM

On a side note. You can buy pumpkin spice latte mix in the states it has to be kept in the fridge, it's amazing and 2.00 per bottle. I ONLY BOUGHT ONE BOTTLE WHAT THE HECK IS WRONG WITH ME!

Aysha 11-07-2012 06:18 PM

Some parts of Edmonton got it better than others.
We cant see our car.
I also think it may be snow drifts in that corner. I refuse to go outside.

jorjef 11-07-2012 06:34 PM

Curse you drag buses... I can't stop buying them..

all of edmonton is getting it right now, but i was all over the city and yesterday there was barely a trace of snow, downtown was dry. the parts that never see sun still had snow like my lawn.. but 2" at most not 17".... there's about 6" of snow on my truck and i've been here since 8:30 today!

Aysha 11-07-2012 06:55 PM

I know there was no snow yesterday.
Like I mentioned I'm not sure, in fact I doubt that there's 17 inches in my whole yard but there defiantly is in my driveway. I think it blew in there. My yard Is somewhere around half that I'd guess.

SeaHorse_Fanatic 11-07-2012 07:36 PM

I'm going out in my shorts and t-shirt to feed my koi and water my citrus trees (Washington navel orange, calamansi, and several lemon trees) in my greenhouse as soon as I hit return. :peace: :Banane09: :laluot_01:

SeaHorse_Fanatic 11-07-2012 07:42 PM

That's probably a good thing, cause you wouldn't be able to go out on windy days.

Congrats on the weight loss!!!! 2 months after I got engaged, I took my ring off in the car to put lotion on my hands. Fiance drops me off in front of my building, I hop out and go to work. 3 hours later I realized my ring was missing. Called him at work to check the car - not there. Checked with security in my building to see if someone turned it in, nope. I go scour the sidewalk, in tears. Went back to work, then went looking again. I look along the curb and I see a sliver of sparke, my ring, was pretty much buried in the dirt.

Hope you find yours!!! Don't give up!

Yeah that's looking to be my best bet... Unless anyone has one I could borrow for a few hours locally, I would be for ever grateful.

Lol I stopped eating out all the time and dropped coffee. That was hard, but I feel 100% better. Also turns out apple's are like 5x better then a cup of coffee for waking you up (dont quote me on the 5x part lol)

My poor finger feels like its going to float away. I was going to try a magnet, but it turns out tungsten carbide isn't magnetic. Thanks google for getting my hopes up.

Thanks I hope I do.. its under 10" of snow right now I've been digging all night. No luck so far. Hopefully it melts in the next few days so I can find it!

Hahah its a struggle but I decided this weekend I'm going to have some grease lol I earned it.

gregzz4 11-08-2012 12:45 AM

I drop stuff all the time and don't appear to be losing any weight
Is there a trick to this method? Maybe some finesse I don't know about ?

Lol well my jobs fairly physical too. I'm sure that plays a part.

And yeah I dont run kien lol i smoke haha. That's my next habit to drop. Then maybe... Maaaybe.. I might be able to run. Lol

gregzz4 11-08-2012 01:19 AM

I smoke and can still run like I stole it, but I don't do it for the health benefits

I guess the whole concept of losing weight by dropping stuff is feasible if;
I buy a coffee and a donut, then walk out of the store and luge on the sidewalk, weight-loss is imminent

I think it depends how heavy it is. Pick up 200 pounds and drop it a bunch of times, you'll loose weight :)

Exactly lol I must say I dont remember meeting a fat welder before. Perhaps that's a big part of it for me.

Update on ring..

Still MIA even after borrowing my neighbors metal detector and doing 4+ sweeps over the entire area. I did however find the following

One twist tie
Ten cents
A 22 shell.. in my front yard? wtf..
A nail and a screw by my tire (lucky me)
And a pop can tab.

At least I found ten cents?

Maybe McGuyver could help you find your ring ... 'cause you appear to have all the necessary equipment:wink:
