Grrrrrr, 6 months ago I sold off all my extra equipment, tanks etc. Now I want to drain my main tank for some changes and I have no equipment to use during the process...lol
You never need anything until you get rid of it! |
i always feel that way! lol
|
You get rid of stuff????? What's this concept?
Actually, my wife likes to do major "spring" cleaning (i.e. get rid of lots of stuff) which often results in her tossing out MY stuff that I still need. Grrrrrrrr. |
HUH, coffee is still on and still a no show... ungrateful bunch of interlopers. Pass the Skittles.

It might not have been my idea to get rid of it all..... |

i wanna go home, i wanna go home, i wanna go home my parents come from vancouver today!!!
Okay besides that.. my womens hockey team is looking for fundraising idea's and a sponsor for new jerseys. Since they are 98% students money is not abundant and the sponsor on our jersey's went bankrupt like 2 years ago... Does anyone have any expertise in Gaining Sponsorship. We are Currently "ESP VELOCITY"... I am sure we'd gladly get new/not old crappy buffalo sabers colors jerseys! We are the top team in our league and top 3 in the province, but there is just no one out there with a company willing to help. they all go for the kids teams, when we all need help to! Any ideas or suggestions would be amazing. we've got pub night $5 ticket gets you $5 at the bar (so free basically)(no pub crawls) casino's bingo's a gift card program we run at christmas time where we sell gift cards to major stores and we get a commision from that. keep in mind we are all university age, they all have school, and a handfull of us work full time! pm me if you have any ideas.... my brain is fried! |
Amature night? 😁

Flash. Why not try some local businesses around you, do some door knocking? Check with local realtors who have signs in your area, car dealerships, food establishments. Most chains are franchises, some may be able to support you in exchange for guaranteed group events.
|
Flash,
I know EXACTLY where you're coming from. Same deal here for me, and I'm on two teams! Some ways we found to save us some cash and cover our jersey costs; - bottles (we've had a team raise 5K this year alone by collecting their own bottles and putting it up on FB, and other social media places). - We looked at companies that make jersey's who don't normally target our sport as customers. - We looked at local companies and found joint ventures worked really well; one company to get the uniforms, another to heat-press, stitch on logos/names/numbers. Can you tell us more about what kind of sport you're talking about? I might be able to point you to some names, people, or places that could help you out. |
hockey team! and thank you for the input!

Hey Lyndsy, (Hope I got it right)
What I do to sponsor and what may work for you is to go to your local watering holes and ask if you can pick up there empties. We give away 200 weekly to sport teams etc . Who ever asks. Might be worth a try. Quote:

So bummed, this weekend has not started well. Had a horrible day at work yesterday, ok it happens right. Woke up this morning to find someone had keyed my car. Damage runs front to back and it's gouged. Not sure if it happened last night while we were at a movie or at home. I know it's just a car but I'm so upset. I'm not a jerk driver that takes up 2 stalls, I will park where there are no other cars around.

Sometimes I feel like I would have beat the person within an inch of their life if I'd had been lucky enough to catch them. |

I just don't understand why. It was hit in August by hail, had that fixed. I was upset but you can't control mother nature. I've been in tears all morning as its just such a mean thing to do. My bf is looking for a new vehicle and stopped this morning to talk to the guy I bought the car from. He said one of the guys in his body shop would probably repair it on the side for a case of beer. I just have to call. You know, I'm sure if I'd caught whoever did this, I would likely have gone after them as well. |
You just don't mess with a persons ride, It's so not cool.
I run a bar and have had so much damage done to my vehicles. It's unbelievable how ignorant people can be. I did catch up with one of them and it wasn't pretty... FOR HIM.....:twised: Although in hindsight probably not the wisest thing I've done either. My vehicles were far from being a new car, so i feel your frustration. Quote:

Last summer someone backed into my jeep with a big dualie and took off. Crushed it too looked like they hit it hard. The whole drivers side was caved almost looked like I got t-boned luckily for me there was a witness who got the trucks make but no plate. Living in a small town its not hard to track down the car though. $4800 later my jeep is as good as new and that persons insurance is good and pricey. as well as a hit and run and leaving the scene of an accident charge. Just remember, karma is a 'b' they'll get what's coming to them in the end.
|
Lucky you had a witness!! Someone hit my parked car once but left a note.
Esquire, doesn't matter what kinda vehicle or where it's parked, still not acceptable. Bet it felt good to lay some beats on the guy, but ya, probably not the best thing to do. Here's a pic of my ride, out on my parents acreage this summer. http://i1199.photobucket.com/albums/...0702-00005.jpg And keyed http://i1199.photobucket.com/albums/...magejpeg_2.jpg |
Sorry to hear about your car Sheena

Thanks Greg! To top it off, we went out today, I tripped going out my front door and did a flying leap off my front steps, face planting on my front lawn. little scratched up myself and what does my family do? Laugh...ugh
I'm thankful that it's a long weekend and for an awesome dinner with the inlaws! |
Not liking the outlet threads on my new pumps! Will not allow me to thread on a standard 1 1/4" PVC coupling like the inlet will.

I hope you don't end up with reef soup  |
At least you caught it while it was not yet overheated. I know lots of local reefers who's tanks went over 86F for a short while during summer heat waves and survived. Hope yours does too.

Yeah it's fine back down to 80 and dropping usually I get an email alert but messed up my programming when my second power bar failed. I have to reset everything. And reprogram the email alerts. But all in all a wake up call. No soup for me lol
