Ooops, sorry guys!
I've been dealing with a lot of dead coral lately, so when I saw a big dead area in one of my coral heads I cut it out aggressively.
When I looked closely at the part I removed, it was covered with eggs. It seems that my yellow coral gobies have started breeding...and I wiped out their first home. Sorry...I'm sure they will try again. |
amazing tank, with all that plumbing you could redo your house!!!

I thought I would shock everyone by providing an update! Things in the tank are going well. I should actually be back in the frag business again soon. All I did to fix things was change my water change procedure. Now, I vacuum the sand bed every week and discard 50 gallons on vacuum water during the 50 gal change.

Things continue to go pretty well with the tank. My Ca reactor pump died recently. I didn't notice it had stopped for a few days. By the time I did, my Alk had dropped to 4.5DKH! The coral didn't seem to mind a bit though.
Even two weeks later, my ALk has only climbed back to 6DKH. (My Alk normally runs at 7.5 or so) A couple views of the two big boys... http://i142.photobucket.com/albums/r...s/0aa37d2f.jpg http://i142.photobucket.com/albums/r...s/f84f0f57.jpg |
