Oh yes it is, now just have to finish up all the cabinet work, hopefully this weekend.

I wish I have room for a tank like yours. Once the tank gets filled with all your favorite corals and fish this tank will look awesome!

Wish I had the space, time, energy & $$ to upgrade mine to a 300g display but that's just not in the works.

Looking forward for updates in the future.

Anthony

Thanks Anthony, it doesn't cost as much it seem if you spread it over a couple yrs to build like I did. As for the "PATIENCE" thing, I have none and have a few things on the way for the tank today.

Its really looks great now that all my fish are in, even the engineer goby that usually hides all the time is out and swimming.

So now I have the 165 dismantled I was able to get the chiller all cleaned up. Built the manifold off the middle pump on the right end of the sump to feed the chiller & 3 reactors. I don't like the look of the vinyl hose but it will have to do for now until I get something better figured out.

Chiller & 2 out of 3 reactors running, GFO & Carbon.

Generally you can have Frogspawn, Hammer, and Torch touching as they are all the same family.

I have a bunch in one spot in my tank and they all touch, but I do notice that my Torch occasionally causes issues with the others.

BackPackHunter 01-28-2014 02:53 AM

its really looking good
what do you think of the skimmer so far?

They are actually one piece, they grew together. I have had Hammers/Frog/Octospawns in big bunches before without issue.

Well I wasn't sure about the skimmer as it took some time to get it dialed in just right and had to add a 90* elbow upwards to the output pipe but after one day of it running just the way I want it looks like this..........

Got the top part of the stand done over the last couple days as well, still have to get something to lift open the front for tank access hopefully tomorrow.

FishyFishy! 01-28-2014 01:35 PM

Seriously killer looking!!!!

What sized check valve/output plumbing are you running on those return pumps in the background of your skimmate collector?

Thanks Bro.... the check valves are 1 1/2" but then has to go to 1" for the SCWD and remainder of the returns.

LoJack 01-28-2014 05:13 PM

Thanks Brett, no hardware going on the doors at all as the mag locks work as door knobs.

I have a video of the latest add on to the cabinet but cant figure out how to embed it properly, can anyone tell me how please.

The Grizz 01-30-2014 06:42 PM

Anyone know how to embed a video, its only 30 sec long and recorded on my iphone.

Slyguy00 01-30-2014 09:54 PM

I could be wrong but i think you need something like vimeo. And then it just works the same as photobucket. But like i said i could be wrong, just guessing.

The Grizz 01-31-2014 05:12 PM

Ok let's try this, click on the pic to take you to my photobucket to view a short 30 sec video of an idea I has in the early morning & made it reality that night.

Thanks Wayne, I added a 3 way switch so that I could use the same power supply & control for the light rack & access door.

The Grizz 02-03-2014 02:32 AM

Finally got the 60 gal cube all fixed up & into the house. Got it all plumbed except for the last 6' of 1 1/2" drain. Searched every where in Red Deer today to find one length but no joy. Will have to hit the plumbing wholesellers tomorrow.

Nice how the top rim on the 60 ties it into the cabs and trim. And it's functional too!

BackPackHunter 02-11-2014 06:14 PM

Is one of the small wavelines running the 60?
It's looking good

Building a conopy over the cube to house my Mitra so it will all blend in.

Yes the middle return pump closest to the cube is running the cube. Adding a small pump into the OF to feed the chiller.

mrhasan 02-11-2014 07:04 PM

This thread makes me happy

(There's too many compliments about the tank so thought I should be the selfish one and talk about myself )

The Grizz 02-14-2014 01:47 AM

99.9999% finished with the cabinet work, only the vent top for the cube & the door with fans in it for the LED drivers.
