I'm living vicariously through others for the time being.

My excuse is that I haven't figured out how to upload images to the board from my imagination.

Looks like Colin had an ace up his sleeve. Very nice!

niloc16 01-21-2008 08:21 AM

thanks sebae but i dont know if i would call it an ace. althought its one of my favs, i thinks its an enchinata. i lost half of it during my notorious dino attack. this is one coral that was a MAJOR slow grower but after the blackout this bugger has rocked. i have seriously thought about doing a blackout every couple months because after that week blackout the corals are going insane with growth

Good Lord where do you people even find this stuff. When I go to the stores and look for SPS, there's never this kind of level of stuff available.

niloc16 02-07-2008 10:00 PM

when i get them they dont start like this. most of the time they are bleaching or brown, i spend about half an hour staring down from the top at the piece and guessing ' will this be worth it'.

Well, yeah, that's true. But, I just gotta say .... It just feels like it's barely been a month since you were saying you had no colours in your tank and I was trying to encourage you to wait it out. I'm not going to believe you anymore if you ever complain about your tank!!!! :p

Dang, I need some encouragement then! :p :p :p 'Cuz THIS is what *I* got:

very nice Colin....your tank seems to be looking really really good!

Chowder 02-08-2008 05:28 AM

Colin you were right your corals are so drab and borring.
Apparently turning your lights out for the week did wonders.

niloc16 02-08-2008 05:52 AM

funny you say that chris because i was just telling marc the other day i am SERIOUSLY thinking of doing a blackout every couple months. man the growth spurt afterwards was huge. maybe i'm onto something. if its true and you guys try it and it works i take 50% of all frag sales
