Can you get a closer pic of them? if the BF is holding it hostage ask him if he thinks he can get a clear macro shot for you (makes him feel important  )

He tried, and sadly (considering the amount of time he spent with it) the picture above was the best. I will see if I can get a better shot

By the way Steve, you were in the store today and you didn't introduce yourself :frown:

Ah, okay. Well, I think that is the best picture I can get. The largest of these suncorals is probably only 5mm wide, so they are very small.

Hi I've been following this thread with interest as I think it is so cool to have your suncorals reproduce like that.
It would be nice to see a better picture tho cause in the one you just posted they look suspiciously like majano anemones. I'm sure they probably are not as you would probably recognize them.

Alright, here's another picture and I've circled them. If you look closely you can see their orange mouths. I think maybe I should have gotten a better camara  ah well, these guys are very small, maybe only 5mm for the largest ones. This is probably the best I can do, sadly, I really wanted to post a good picture of them.

And here is the mommy picture, just so you can see the orange mouths.

Very cool. And your right you can see their orange mouths! Are you feeding them?

deacon hemp 10-16-2005 06:44 AM

Awesome....i knew they were baby suns, keep up the good work.

aquariumgirl 10-17-2005 08:29 PM

Thanks deacon and ruth, I try to feed as many as possible, but some are in unreachable places. Leslr gave me a syringe to help with feeding (thanks again Dave) . It looks like a few have disappeared, but the majority are still there. I do, however, am battling with this bristleworm, he keeps covering some of the polyps with pieces of crushed corals  . But I think I'm winning;he moved back downstairs . These little polyps are very slow growning, but I'm starting to see a small skeleton growing on the largest one  .

Anyway, I've entered for tank of the month on saltcreep.com soooo, if anyone would like to vote for me; http://www.saltcreep.com/forums/show...st29110&conly=
