Wow, let the sales begin. It's like waking up on Christmas morning for the SPS collectors. Fragfrink'intastic.

reefwars 09-03-2012 04:25 PM

why is it necessary for one person to have 12 dozen thousand back to back ads for random equipment lol

talk about time consuming and annoying

Coralgurl 09-03-2012 05:39 PM

I've had my apex controller for 2 weeks now, still sitting in the box. Procrastinating setting it up, maybe today is the day.....

gregzz4 09-06-2012 05:09 AM

Funny you say that ...
I was going to join the local Procrastinator's Club today, but I think I'll do it tomorrow

Could be an expensive weekend, wife bought me a ticket so I can be in Edmonton for Fragfest on Sunday. Hope I don't wear the strip right off the ol' Visa card LOL

Cool and I hear you, my wallet is going to hurt

Hope to see you there, I'll be the really loud bubbly girl who is always laughing at something

fishoholic 09-06-2012 03:15 PM

WTH who would of thought a kole tang would totally beat up a clown tang???? Not I! Guess I should of added them at the same time instead of giving the kole a couple of weeks to settle in first

Both look beat up atm I'm hoping after a few days they'll settle down like most tangs do.

Anyway they better since it took an hour and a half to catch the darn clown tang out of the sps frag tank at work! Thanks again Chris for all your help

Flash 09-06-2012 05:18 PM

That's crazy!!! I wouldn't have thought that either!!! Go kole tang go! lol! (sorry i love them)

I was lazy getting mine installed too... finally put it in on Tuesday. Seems my pH is low, but at least pretty consistent. 7.77-7.93 over two days.

Did you get the clearish ones

I bought three in the last two weeks yet to be seen

Dripped them for over an hour. Huh

Aysha 09-07-2012 02:26 AM

my last shrimp lived 12 hours

Nano 09-07-2012 02:53 AM

My first shrimp, 2 months, 2nd 2 weeks, 3rd going on 6 months i only acclimated it for about 20minutes on a drip after floating the bag for 10-15. IMO salinity and temp have to be very close other wise its just an accident waiting to happen. Call rhe lfs next time a few days ahead of time ask what the salinity is then try to get yours within .001-.002 of what theirs is. Imo anyway.

I know right! Stupid tangs!

Proteus 09-08-2012 12:31 AM

I could have quit my job today.
I put in 80 hours in 6 days. My boss is ****y cause I turned down a job tonight. And worst of all some hothead consultant decided to stand three inches from my face and scream cause he has parted rods down hole. I wonder how much more he screamed when I walk off his location leaving him stranded without a vac truck

fishoholic 09-08-2012 12:47 AM

Happy to report that my tangs seem to have stopped beating each other and seem to be somewhat getting along/tolerating one another

The Grizz 09-08-2012 05:08 AM

True. And in reality I had a purple and sohal. Which were not to bad. But they were only tang in tank. My sohal would sit at gobies hole and bat his tail around

Nano 09-09-2012 05:40 PM

Wake up this morning to a weird noise coming from the durso, start to investigate... Why is my water level 1" bellow the trim in the sump i hope I didnt get a faulty ato... Pull out the durso to see if somethings blockin it that could have caused it... 3 snails... seriously? 1 wasn't enough? Well I put the snail back in the tank, and problem solved. I also found 2 in the sump. Wtf. They all decide to take a holiday? Ugh.

Coralgurl 09-09-2012 06:26 PM

Amazing how the events of 11 years ago still evoke such strong emotions and sadness for all the lives lost. Such a sad day in history, but I'm very thankful for all service men and women who have fought to protect us, including my brother!!

reefwars 09-09-2012 08:38 PM

heres how my last 15hrs went:

sprung a leak in plumbing going to sump, fixed it

all fish/shrimp in my cube died from lack of oxygen with no sump for the night

when noticing this in a panic this morning, i turned my return pump back on but failed to reconnect the union through the wall and shot about 5g of water across my living room.

as if all this wasnt enough i was gluing a heavy frag in my cube, the glue must have dropped off and anded on the black plastic bracing with out me seeing it. i put the frag in the tank and i rested my arm on the brace smearing the glue with my arm and waited about 5min for the heavy object to be secure....then noticed my whole forearm glued to the brace....i now have a 6" open cut going down my arm from the rip:(

fml im heading to bed out of it , screw this day lol :P
