denny do you control the dosers with the apex lite?

and does apex lite come with a display, iphone controllability and web logging?

I don't yet , right now my apex is a expensive powerbar everythings on and plugged in random spots lol ill get to it someday;)

Does come with display and networks accessible but I haven't played with it yet I traded some corals for this awhile ago and didn't bother setting it up on my ghetto setup :)

so what would be the big reason to get the lite vs the jr? i'm having a tough time sifting thru the product descriptions to nail the meaningful differences. they both look the same except the lite has 8 power plugs vs 4 on the jr?

Well the Jr only has a 4 outlet powerbar, in theory even with the 8plug you really need a second powerbar and they are pricey.the
I don't think the junior comes with a Ph probe either, plus the junior runs display to piwerbar and that's it so I'm not sure about addons like vdm or wxm modules?

If you want to use a pH probe, you'll need the lite instead of the jr. But the biggest reason for me, is the ability to use the breakout box where you can make DIY float switches, water flood sensor, and other switches etc, to control and shut off pumps, solenoids, or whatever.

The lite is basically the same as the standard apex, except without the variable ports for certain variable speed pumps (like tunze) and orp probe.

yeah i've got no use for the VDM but the MXM works with all apex models (so claims the BRS site anyways).

I guess I'd need a power slot for my light, one for each doser, and heater. I *think* 4 would be enough but maybe it's best to go to an 8 bar right off the bat. I don't have any need for ph monitoring either.

Reefwars,

In pic 5 of post 92, are.those rics bleached a little bit? I have the same ones in my tank and the tips are a bit white like the ones in the pic. Is that just normal for those?
