Hi Ronnie,
Honestly, I never even thought of the retail pricing being an issue at a frag swap. I am still that hobbyist at heart and love to talk reef and oggle peoples reef tanks. I figured selling some high end frags could subsidize the $175 trip so I could meet some fellow hobbyists. I was also planning to give away some samples of the Ocean Fresh Pacifica Plankton and the Foz Down for people to try. So people buy a $55 high end rare frag(that stores sell for $55) and get $25 in free product to try.
Cheers,
Tim
ps My frags are very rarely a 1" single stick.

Well yes reefers do all love to try new stuff, and of course charge something for your expenses, that is not at all what i said...i just think your prices were pretty steep for a hobbyist frag swap. Our last frag swap people were swapping, selling frags and of course the more premium pieces were going for a few extra bucks, but wow $65 for a frag, i just don't think you'll get many bites with high price tags like that...IMO And if ya do, then well i guess ferry lunch is on those with fat wallets!! ha ha
Don't sweat it Tim, it will be great to see you again, chit chat and yes there will be delicious snacks too!
PS. everyone, i am bringing some delicious home made salsa and chips! YUM:biggrin:
