I saw a few pairs of these guys last night for sale... anything special they need requirements-wise? They seem pretty fascinating to me but I'm worried they'd hole up somewhere not easily seen. Be like taking some cash and jamming it into your rockwork for kicks...

hey laurie to get my pistol out what i do is lay a bunch of rubble right next to their den then push sand into his lair ....mine goes right into clean mode and pushes the sand out but with the rubble blocking the hole he has to literally come out and push or pick up the rubble and move it.

mine was quite secluded at first but after me feeding him so many times hes out and about all the time now never leaves his den but he comes out into the open about 6 inches.

my pistol hosts 2 gobys an orange spot and a red striped goby its usually the red who has him but once in a while he will leave and then the orange moves on in.....the red always comes back because hes more aggressive

not something i would count on seeing all the time, i got lucky he choose his den right in front of the tank minus a bit of digging or during feeding time i dont see him.at first i never saw him it took awhile.

i have a mantis in the sump and a pistol in the display between the two i have a good metronome hehehe:pp

Potentially it could be very much like stuffing money into your rock, especially in a tank as big as yours. No real special requirements, just a sand bed. My yasha eats mysis, Arcti pods, Cyclop-eeze and I think he eats the .5mm pellets

The pistol did come right out a few times, once when the camera refused to focus, once when I gave up and had just put the camera down and once just after the battery died :mmph:

Gold Neon Eviota Goby (Eviota pellucida)

A dwarf goby of some sort, the lfs said it's a pink stripe goby, one pic on the internet said stripe head goby :noidea: I call him my upside down goby because he hangs out upside down under the rock and swims upside down. Edit: Dawn ID'd it and it's a Stripehead Goby (Trimma Striata)
