    Hi Rich
I was getting my calcium chloride from BRS, but my last bag is just Dowflake. I would not have switched to Dowflake if I planned to keep the tank going, but I didn't want to pay for BRS shipping. You can get chemicals at Oceanic if they have them in stock, but so many times I go out there and they have nothing. Baking soda I get from Costco. Magnesium Cloride I've had so long I foget where I got it (I bought 2 large bags the time). Besides the 3 majors I dose Iodine and usually Iron. I was dosing strontium with my calcium, but I'm pretty sure thats not necessary. I found with the 400w bulbs it was too easy to cook my corals, and in fact that's exactly what happened to 1/3 of my tank when the outer casing of one of my halides broke. I noticed no difference when I switched to 250s, in fact growth may have sped up a bit for some corrals. 400w was too much light for even some of my acros in the top 1/3 of my tank. Fish get pellet food, with Selcon added 2 or 3 times a week. I find feeding Corral Frenzy a couple of times a week keeps the corrals healthier. I tend to get less incidences of tissue recession when I feed. I do 10% water changes every week. IMO this is the most important part of a maintenance regimen, I always have issues when I neglect this (generally happens every summer).

HI ROB, MY NAME IS RICHARD AND I LIKE TO START OFF BY CONGRATULATE YOU ON YOUR BEAUTIFUL TANK. I HAVE RECENTLY MOVED UP FROM A 72 GALLON BOWFRONT TO A 210 GALLON SPS\LPS MIXED TANK. WELL 7 MONTH AGO. I COULDN'T NOTICE THE SIMILARITIES BETWEEN YOUR TANK AND MINE. EXCEPT YOURS LOOK A LOT NICER THAN MINE. WITH THAT SAID I WAS WONDERING IF YOU WOULD BE SO KIND AND ANSWER A FEW QUESTIONS FOR ME, 1ST WHERE DO YOU GET YOUR CHEMICALS FROM? I USUALLY GO THROUGH BULK REEF SUPPLIES, 2ND BESIDE THE 3 MAJORS, WHAT ELSE DO YOU PUT IN YOUR TANK AS FAR AS CORAL AMINO, ZEOVIT, OR IF ANYTHING AT ALL. 3RD I RUN 3 400W MH FOR MY TANK, I TEND TO HAVE A HARD TIME ACCLAIM MY SPS WITH THE 400S. WHAT DID YOU NOTICE WITH THE SWITCH FROM 400S TO 250S, 4TH AND LAST FEEDING REGIME, FISH AND CORAL. I DO REEF SNOW AND ZEOVIT. I GUSS WHAT I AM REALLY ASKING IS YOUR ROUTINE INCULDING WATER CHANGES TO HAVING SUCH A SUCCESSFUL SPS TANK. I WOULD LIKE TO THANK YOU IN ADVANCE FOR YOUR TIME. BY THE WAY, MY NAME IS RICH, R.I.C.H. AND I ALSO AM AN ADDICT.
