I have an elegant purple tip coral and last week it was white and now the coral is brownish in color. Does anyone have any suggestions?

I've been looking to upgrade my lighting requirements of my 90 gal tank. Are the new LED systems anygood? Does anyone have one or does anyone have any recommendations?
