Dorman Products Inc. (US:dorm) said that third-quarter net income fell to $5.0 million, or 28 cents a share, from $5.7 million, or 31 cents a share, at the same point last year. Analysts had been expecting earnings per share of 28 cents, according to data compiled by FactSet. Revenue at the automotive parts supplier climbed to $91.2 million, from $83.2 million a year ago. During the quarter, the firm experienced significant increases in material and transportation costs as a result of commodity price increases and weakness in the U.S. dollar.
