90 Gallon

Finally got my 90 Gallon Saltwater tank started after years of debating it!

July 27th added salt, about 35 pounds of live rock and about 65 pounds of base rock. Two Hydor Korilia power heads and a couple bags of live sand.

Since I was using the tank as a freshwater, it was not predrilled when I got it. I've installed an Aqueon Proflex overflow box. I bought a SWC 160 skimmer and a Marineland submersable pump for the return.

I bought an old tank to use as a sump however it was too big to fit underneath so in the interim have been using rubbermaid containers. A 10 gallon for the skimmer which feeds into a 5 gallon where the return pump is. Seems to be working for the most part but I have been getting alot of evaporation and the pump seems a bit too powerful and drains the container too quickly as the water level comes down. Seriously need a larger sump &/or an auto top off!!

I now have copepods swimming around and the coreline algae seems to be taking ahold on some of the base rock now. Ammonia levels haven'e really moved as they are still at .25pp and nitrates and nitrites are both zero. Does anyone know when and how high the ammonia levels spike?

There now appears to be some sort of worm in the tank in the sand. I'm guessing this is some kind of bristle worm. Is this a good sign or bad sign?

I now have 2 Turbo Snails and a couple blue legged hermit crabs and can see a couple small snails I'm guessing have hitched a ride on the live rock. Any ideas as to what to add for fish first? I would like clowns, blennies, tangs. A trigger fish would be great but not sure if this would work in the tank size...
